Village of New Brighton <br />Council Proceedings <br />Dec. 11, 1973 <br />Attorney stated hearing was properly called VN-110 <br />Mr. Frank Carley appeared to answer questions of <br />the council in regard to proposed variance 8:33 - <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Eagon to close hearing 8:44 <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Eagon to grant variance <br />for 39 feet of front yard parking in front of the most <br />southerly wall of the building parallel to first Street SW <br />subject to the receipt of signed plans from the petitioner and <br />further subject to the removal of the spruce on the eastern <br />side of the building further to the west. <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes.- carried <br />i <br />Attorney stated hearing was properly called <br />Mr. Richard Ernst spoke in favor of petition for variance as <br />detailed on plans submitted to the village <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Rebelein•to close hearing <br />/5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />/Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Anderson to receive <br />letter from Dan Coe dated Nov. 26, 1973 <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Eagon to defer action <br />on variance as requested by petitioner, until <br />January 22 and that the petitioner present the council with <br />an analysis of the traffic problems in 7-Eleven Service <br />Center <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />New Business <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Anderson to order the <br />closing of municipal operations at 1 p.m., December 24 <br />including all liquor sales operations for the purpose of <br />allowing village employees to spend Christmas Eve with <br />their families. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Fisher, seconded by Anderson to approve <br />request of N.W.- Bell Telephone Company to place <br />buried cable on Knollwood Drive and Valley View Lane <br />Est. #3958 and along Stinson Boulevard and 32nd Avenue N.W. <br />north of County Road E JO 47466. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes -,carried <br />Motion by Anderson, seconded by Eagon <br />Village of St. Anthony dated November <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />8:44 - <br />8:45 <br />Vn-Ill <br />Action <br />Considered <br />later in <br />meeting <br />to receive letter from <br />28, 1973 <br />1 p.m. <br />Closing <br />Dec. 24 <br />3 <br />?%W.
