- 3 -

Planning Commission Recommendation (12--18-73);
Motion by Daniels, seconded by Parham, to recommend denial of VN--113.0
Mahn stated that he favored narrowing the access to a width for one
automobile and posting it for an entrance only with no exit allowed.
Daniels stated his belief that the conditions for a variance are not.
met and that the granting of a curb cut would create traffic cir-
culation problems.
Motion carried .2-1 (Mann)
Mann stated that his previously suggested configuration would allow
some access and minimize problems.
Parham stated that if a curb cut is approved it should follow the
suggestion by Mann,
Daniels stated that the reasons for his vote were the same as he
had given at the October 16, 1973, meeting where the landscape and
plot plan was reviewed.
Motion by Mann to recommend as an alternative design, should the
Council approve a curb cut, the narrowing of the driveway and its
posting as an entrance only.
Motion failed for lack of a second.
In response to a question by the vice-Chairman as to whether they
wished to comment on the sign request, Daniels and Mann indicated
that they did not.
