`'~ Public Hearing <br />VN-125 <br />August 13, 1974..- 8:15 P.M. <br />Applicant: John Putnam.. <br />T~oc~a.tiona' 1694 23rd Ave. N.W. <br />Rec~~.xest: Variance from Section 13-050 (f.4) to allow a 6' boundary <br />Line fence on a rear property line abutting a side lot <br />line of ..another lot< <br />Ordfinance Requirements: Section I3=050 (fe4) states that .where a rear <br />:line abutts.a-side lot line-boundary. line <br />fences constructed. in the rear, yard shall - <br />not"exceed 32' in height. <br />Number of Property Owners..-Within-200 Teets 19 <br />Previous Council .Actions (6-25-74): <br />Motion by Fisher, seconded by Anderson to state council agreement <br />with the City Attorney's opinion that a fence 6 feet from the <br />boundary line is not a boundary line fence,-and therefore is note <br />covered by the provisions of the Zoning Code. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes -carried <br />Motion by Anderson, seconded by Fisher to grant permission for a <br />6 foot fence, 6 feet from the rear property line and 6 ft fence <br />meeting the-rear property line fence at .right angles and meeting <br />the northwest corner of the Putnam structure. <br />2 ayes - 2 nayes (Rebelein, Bromander) motion failed <br />Discussion: <br />As this request has already been extensively discussed by the <br />Council, we-have nothing further to add. <br />We have attached a letter from the applicant to the Planning <br />Commission outlining his reasons for wanting the fence.
