<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 27, 1987 <br /> <br />Williams believes the building is a real improvement, but felt it <br />appears to be two different architectural styles; applicant indi- <br />cated the architect is redrawing the plans to eliminate that prob- <br />lem. <br /> <br />Benke asked if consideration had been given to sharing the drive- <br />way to the south; applicant indicated the neighboring driveway is <br />not on the property line. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 1 Naye (Benke), Motion Carried <br /> <br />Gunderman stated he agreed with the staff report concerning the <br />feasibility study for a storm sewer improvement near Birch Pond <br />Condominiums, but asked that a brief meeting be held immediately <br />prior to the next (November 10, 1987) council meeting; then moved, <br />seconded by Blomquist, to ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PETI- <br />TION AND ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR A <br />STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT ON COUNTY ROAD E ADJACENT TO THE BIRCH <br />POND CONDOMINIUMS; AND TO HOLD AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING FOR THE <br />RESIDENTS OF BIRCH POND CONDOMINIUMS IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO THE <br />NOVEMBER 10, 1987, CITY COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Brandt, seconded by Williams, to REFER THE SEXUAL HARAS- <br />SMENT POLICY FOR THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON TO THE NEW BRIGHTON <br />HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION <br /> <br />.5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Berger announced the Employees' Christmas Party would be held at <br />Robert Lee Restaurant on Thursday December 6, 1987; and noted this <br />year all city employees would receive a recognition award.. <br /> <br />With regard to the Crime Prevention Award received tonight, Brandt <br />believes it would be appropriate for the city to recommend it to <br />WCCO Radio for a Good Neighbor award; Benke noted City Manager <br />Sinda and Police Chief Kelley are working on public relations; <br />Berger follow through on Brandt's suggestion. <br /> <br />Benke noted a special council meeting will be needed to certify <br />the Tuesday, November 3, 1987, election results. <br /> <br />Benke advised councilmembers of the Minnesota Mayors Association <br />Annual Conference, November 20-21, 1987, at the Radisson Hotel <br />Minnetonka; anyone wanting to go should advise the Administrative <br />Secretary Young to make reservations. <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Petition and <br />Feasibility <br />Study - Birch <br />Pond Condomin- <br />iums storm <br />sewer <br />Report 87-255 <br />Resolution 87-106 <br /> <br />Sexual Harassment <br />Po 1 icy <br />Report 87-264 <br /> <br />Announcements <br />and Updates <br /> <br />Employee <br />Christmas <br />Party <br /> <br />Public Relations <br />for Crime <br />Prevention <br />Award <br /> <br />Special Council <br />Meeting <br />Required <br /> <br />MN Mayors Assoc. <br />Annual Conf. <br />Nov. 20-21 <br />
