Rybak s <br />At its January 27th meeting, the New Brighten City Council <br />approved your request for a variance for signing at your property <br />at 5th Avenue ant? 10th Street Nt~T. A copy of the Council minutes <br />in regard to this action is enclosed. Because there iArere a <br />number of motions made in regard to this item, I would like to <br />rep?at the conditions on the approval that were adopted: <br />1. Al1oi~~ the sign reading Neva Brighton Furniture, Inc. on each <br />street side of the building said sign meeting the limit of <br />covering no more than 40% of the selected signable area. <br />(In order to comply t~rith this condition, the wall sign <br />on the 5th Avenue side will have to be reduced in size.) <br />2. Remove the existing wall sign above the entrance on the <br />south side of the building and replace it by a sign meeting <br />Ordinance requirements as to size and saying "train Entrance". <br />3. Remove the projecting sign and wall sign over the door to <br />Eddie's Corner Bar. The projecting sign must be removed <br />within a three year period of time. The wall sign must be <br />removed immediately. <br />'~. The existing ~•rall signs on both the 5th Avenue and 10th Street <br />sites for Eddie's Corner Bar may remain but they must be reduced <br />to saying only "Eddie's Corner Bar" and_ the 7-Up logos. The <br />additional wording on the sign such as "Pizza to Go" "Color T.V." <br />etc., must be removed. <br />5. Permanent c-rinc~o?a signs must be made conforming to the ordinance <br />limitation on items of information. (The prinicipal limitations <br />in this regard are that the permanent windota signs both painted <br />on the windows and hung in the windows must cover no more than <br />25% of the ~~~indota area. In addition, signs with lettering <br />3" or more in height are counted against the total amount <br />
