Johnson: <br />It is with reluctance and disappointment that I am <br />agreeing to comply with the conditions in the variance <br />for signing at my property at 5th Avenue and 10th. <br />Street N.W. in New .Brighton. <br />It is really a hardship .for me to have to remove the <br />beer signs the council has indicated in your letter to <br />me as of February 11, 1976, but it is a matter of eithe <br />losing my renter at the furniture store if he can not <br />put up signs to advertise his place of business, or <br />try to stay in business myself at the bar with the <br />little bit of signing the council has allowed me. <br />As yet, I have no idea what I am going to do with the <br />Pabst advertising on the large plate glass windows, <br />and I am sure that none of the beer distributors will <br />help me out as long as I can not advertise their <br />products. I will have to call Grain Belt to come out <br />and remove their sign over the front door, which I am <br />sure they will not be too happy about. <br />I will try to comply with the council's wishes <br />unhappily by June 1, 1976, and I hope the council will. <br />let Mr. Nattell put up his conforming signs <br />immediately. <br />Very }truly yob s , <br /> <br />
