7 -F <br />?'3 <br />ail Proceedings <br />ty of New Brighton <br />9, 1976 <br />,The Council reviewed the proposed resolution for VN-159. RESOLUTION <br />They took no action regarding the resolution noting VN-a-159 <br />that it was inappropriate to act on such resolution RCE Corp <br />until more information was submitted by the developer. <br />Public Hearings <br />The City Clerk stated that he had reviewed the SP-75 <br />hearing notice with the City Attorney and found that Clark <br />the hearing was properly called. The Building and Pharmacy <br />Planning Coordinator reviewed the'planning report and <br />Planning Commission recommendations. 9:10 to <br />9:40 <br />Mark Clark, applicant, stated that he would agree with <br />the plan as recommended by the Planning Commission. <br />'Councilman Senden asked if one of the options were to <br />move the Clark wall sign down 14 inches'. <br />Clark stated that was the intention <br />Councilman Senden asked whether it was the applicant's <br />intent to at sometime move the Clark Pharmacy sign <br />now on the canopy and make it a pylon `sign. <br />Clark responded that he had no such plans at this time. <br />Clark further stated that while the Clark sign would be <br />moved,t?o the facia portion of the canopy, he had long term plans <br />for"'construction of a larger canopy so that all signs would be <br />-totally within the facia of the canopy. He added that he <br />did not want to construct the canopy at this time because <br />it would require moving the Brighton Cleaners Sign. <br />No one spoke in opposition. <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Werdouschegg to close hearing <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes- carried <br />Motion by Hardt, seconded by Fisher to direct administration <br />to prepare a resolution in accordance with the Planning <br />Commission recommendations; to place a condition <br />in the resolution that the canopy be built up within <br />5 years or when the Brighton Cleaners sign is;changed, <br />whichever is first; and further that drawings of the <br />sign plan be attached to the resolution and be made a part of <br />the resolution <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes carried <br />2 <br />The City Clerk stated that he had reviewed the hearing y <br />LBillman-i' <br />notice with the City Attorney and found that the hearing was properly called. The Building and Planning ' <br />Coordinator reviewed the planning report and Planning 9:41_to <br />Commission recommendations, 10:02 <br />Councilman Werdouschegg asked whether the plans <br />included limiting the ground sign in the future to <br />36 square feet. <br />Mayor Bromander pointed out that that was not part of <br />the sign plan but was part of. the Planning Commission <br />recommendations.
