Peterson. indicated the house would face the lake . <br />Councilman Hardt asked if there were any barriers between the lots. <br />Mr. Peterson noted.. that there is a row of pines .separating his <br />father's property and the lot to the ease. <br />the City Planner noted that any homes-constructed 'in,the area <br />would have to-.have a basemenic elevation of at least 3 feet. higher <br />than the regional flood 1eve1 of ..Lang Lake. <br />Mr. Peterson indicated that a dr~.wing was being prepared showing <br />`this elevation where the home could be located. i~r._Peterson <br />said his intention is just tq divide this rather unusual parcel <br />in a manner in which he can also build ahouse.." Mr. Peterson <br />also indicated that they. had tal'sed to the neighbor to the east <br />and.-that the neighbor had not expressed any objections. <br />Fredric~cson'stated that she felt there was a legitimate concern for. <br />traffic. Fredrickson noted that traffic near this curve is <br />dangerous. <br />Councilman Hardt asked'if there could be just-one driveway.. <br />Isaac. Petersen indicated that this could be done but that an easement <br />would be'necessary. <br />Partyka said that he sees no problem with the two driveways. Partyka <br />not=ed that common driveways can create problems in terms of access <br />a^ights and .maintenance. <br />Fredrickson stated that she felt there would be problems in getting <br />financing for the house.. if there is not a separate driveway.` <br />Fredrickson also noted that she was uncomfortable with the odd <br />shaped parcels,` <br />0 <br />Partyka stated that he saw no problem with the shape of the lot. <br />.Partyka said that this wasa rather uniqu.~ parcel which is the: <br />aftermath of a number of-other events and that he felt this waa a <br />good way to handle the ..problem. <br />
