Re port No. 07 -024. and awarding a contract for <br />� City Project 07 -09, Water <br />Plant <br />Grant Wyffels - Director of Public Works gave a brief overview of the item. It was stated No. 4 Filter Rehabilitation. <br />that the levels of radium in the City's water supply is elevated, the drinking water is Report No. 07 -024. <br />still safe. <br />Councilmember Doffing questioned the Fund 400 -Water Improvement Fund, Mr. <br />Wyffels replied the Fund 400 is part of the operating fund. <br />Councilmember Burg questioned the expertise of the low bidder. <br />Mr. Wyffels replied they come well recommended. <br />Motion by Council Member Bauman, seconded by Council Member Doffing to <br />accept the bids and award a contract for City Project 07 -9, Water Treatment Plant #4 <br />Filter Rehabilitation to the low bidder EnComm Midwest, Inc. in the amount of <br />$178,871.00 <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />2. Consider entering into an agreement with 3M to sell Granular Activated 2. Consider entering into a <br />Carbon Equipment located at the PGRS (Water Treatment Plant 2). agreement with 3M to sell <br />Granular Activated Carbon <br />Report No. 07 -025. Equipment located at the <br />PGRS, (Water Treatment <br />Plant 2). <br />Grant Wyffels- Director of Public Works explained that the PGRS plant is no longer Report No. 07 -025. <br />needed as a groundwater remediation facility, as such we can begin removing all <br />equipment from the building and finalize our obligation with Alliant Techsystems. <br />Councilmember Burg questioned if we should consider keeping parts for future use <br />at other water plants. <br />Mr. Wyffels replied the Army would be responsible for purchasing any necessary <br />parts, additionally it was stated that the parts are not compatible with the other <br />plants. <br />Motion by Council Member Doffing, seconded by Council Member Hoffman to <br />approve resolution authorizing staff to enter into an agreement with 3M to sell <br />Granular Activated Carbon Equipment from the Plume Groundwater Recovery <br />System (PGRS) located at Water Treatment Plant 2. <br />Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />3. Consideration of Term <br />3. Consideration of Term Sheet with API Group, Inc. for Northwest Sheet with APi Group, Inc. <br />for Northwest Quadrant <br />Quadrant Office Development.
