By approving the variance request (VN-177) the
Council' adopted a resolution with the following conditions:
1. That the applicant create and maintain a ten foot
landscape strip including a three foot berm and
plantingsbetween the church parking lot and the
two lots to be created;
2. That the applicant prepare and present an acceptable
drainage plan prior to final approval of the variance;
3. That the applicant provide a ten foot snow storage
easement over the front of the two lots to be created;
and
4. That all grading, drainage and sewer installation be
subject to approval of the City Engineer.
I have previously sent you a letter dated April 30, 1981 request-
ing that you work with the owners of the two lots that were
created under that subdivision to provide for the required land-
scape strip and berm. I suggested at that time that possibly
rather than installing a berm with plantings that the church
building committee consider in conjunction with the property
owners the construction of a fence that would not only screen the
parking lot but also restrict individuals from traversing across
privately owned property.
I have.been in contact with the neighbors/owners of the property
and have been informed that the church has taken no action to
date.
