RESOLUTION N0. <br />State of Minnesota <br />County of Ramsey <br />City of New Brighton <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND DENYING VARIANCE APPLICA TION, <br />VN-187 <br />WHEREAS, an application for a variance VN-187 has been made by <br />Lloyd L. Brandt, Trustee for Sunnyside Bible Chapel, to permit the <br />expansion of a parking lot without installing concrete curbs, at <br />2455 Long Lake Road, and <br />WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: <br />1. That an#application for a variance VN-187 was filed <br />with-the City on June 14, 1978. <br />2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br />application at its meeting of June 20, 1978. <br />3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and <br />mailed notices, held a public hearing on July 25, <br />1978 to consider the request. All persons present <br />at the hearing were given the opportunity to be heard. <br />4. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, <br />the Planning Commission minutes and recommendation, <br />and all persons statements made at the public hearing <br />meeting we re considered. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of New <br />Brighton that the following Findings of Fact are made in respect <br />to VN-187: <br />1. That there are. no concrete curbs around the existing <br />driveways or parking lot. <br />2. That the primary purpose of concrete curbing is to <br />protect adjacent landscaping and to protect the <br />appearance of property. <br />3. That the application presents no unique circumstances <br />or undue hardship to warrant the variance. <br />
