'As noted, the City Ordinance
requires that the parking Iot have concrete curbs.
In their application, the applicant has stated that their present
driveways and parking lot do not have concrete curbing and that
the added cost of curbs would add neither utility or aesthetic value
The applicant has further stated that the curbing would detract
'from the appearance as a mower can now trim along the parking lot
'edge.
he primary purpose of the curbing requirement is to protect
andscaped areas from vehicles. Tn this regard we feel that
urbing the expanded parking area would benefit the appearance
ather than be a detriment. In addition,•the requirement for
oncrete curbing has been consistently maintained in developments
ithin the City.
n behalf of the applicant we would note that the sod at the
roperty has been well maintained and that we have not witnessed
problem with vehicles driving on the landscaped areas.
issued by City Manager
