November 16, 1978 <br />APPLICATION FOR VARIANCE <br />VN-195, PERRON <br />s <br />PURPOSE <br />To consider a request-for variance to allow a subdivision which <br />would result in two lots of substandard width and area.. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The applicant presented this request to the Board of Review at <br />its last meeting October 17, 1978, and the Board decided that <br />further investigation was warranted before action could be <br />taken on the application. <br />The application and the attached staff report were referred. to <br />the Park Board and staff for comment and recommendation. The <br />Park Board at its regular meeting. Wednesday, November 1, 1978 <br />took no action on the application. A motion by Carlson, <br />seconded by Kern, was made requesting that investigation be <br />made into the possibility of the City acquiring both parcels <br />lying immediately south of Vermont Park. The motion carried. <br />The initial staff report indicated that the request does not <br />present any substantial reasons for a variance, that the lot <br />sizes are inconsistent with the surrounding area and that <br />sanitary sewer service is not available for the subdivision. <br />Jo M.
