Council Meeting Minutes July 28, 1987 III Benke asked if there is a way the driveways could be combined, or if an easement could be established through the back; McCalla did not believe so, might have to require an additional curb cut, but does not want to aggravate problem at intersection. Resident indicated the traffic on Silver Lake Road is getting heavy and suggested it be widened. Brandt asked if combining all driveways would justify a stop light; believes it is marvelous that McCalla is working around the tree; and proposed project is one that would be a credit to the area. Pat Krishmer, 286 Windsor Lane, supports the Mayor's earlier sug- gestion that the whole plan be reviewed if the eighth unit is eliminated; expressed concern about building heights; and also noted the project is on a slab with no basement, and expressed concern with tornadoes and storms. I Byron Shaak, 193 Windsor Court, asked if the current alley could be turned into a city street or alley with access to all three properties; Benke stated that would depend on the Associationls decision on the parcel and then would require a three-way discus- sion; McCalla stated she had offered 11 feet if Windsor Green would offer 11 feet for a 22-foot road; they were not ready to make that decision at that time. Duane Dahl, Windsor Green, is not opposed to the project; just wants to have questions answered. Paul Rupert, 289 Windsor Lane, asked if the applicant will go back to the Planning Commission. LeFevere stated if the driveway problem and the variance problem are resolved, no variance would be needed, but there may need to be a subdivision or a minor subdivision which may have to go to the Planning Commission.
