INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL LANDSCAPING AROUND PROPOSED PATIO <br />AND IN PARKING LOT MEDIANS; <br />3. PROVISIONS OF LIGHTING IN PARKING AREA AND ALONG ENTRANCE/EXIT <br />DRIVEWAYS; <br />4. PROVISION OF POURED-IN-PLACE CONCRETE CURBING ALONG ALL PARK- <br />ING, DRIVE, AND MEDIAN AREA; AND <br />5. PROVISION OF A PERFORMANCE BOND IN THE AMOUNT EQUAL TO ONE <br />HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) OF THE SITE AND LANDSCAPING PLAN IM- <br />PROVEMENTS EXCLUDING THE PROPOSED BUILDING ADDITION. <br /> <br />Brandt asked applicant if there were any problems with the condi- <br />tions; applicants stated there were no problems and indicated the <br />Grand Opening would be September 15, 1987. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />With regard to the staff report concerning a lease agreement for <br />the tennis court at Silver Oaks, Benke asked if there is any in- <br />dication when the townhomes would be built; LeFevere indicated the <br />developer stated there still is not a market for them. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Brandt, to AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH DITZLER AND <br />CADWALLADER REGARDING PROPERTY AT LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK I, SILVER <br />HIllS. <br /> <br />In response to Blomquistls request, LeFevere briefly reviewed the <br />lease agreement. <br /> <br />Gunderman asked if the city will be picking up a liability or a <br />cost factor; Benke responded the original agreement did not in- <br />clude a deadline for relocating the tennis courts. <br /> <br />Gunderman expressed concern that we are enabling the process to <br />continue at our expense; LeFevere responded that as long as this <br />exists, the city has parking lot and tennis courts without taking <br />up park space, and will reduce liability of going through private <br />property to reach the tennis courts. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 1 Naye (Gunderman), Motion Carried <br /> <br />Proper reviewed staff report concerning bids for the Veterans Park <br />grading project, noting he was favorably impressed with the ex- <br />perience of the low bidder, Northern N. <br /> <br />Williams recommended, when dealing with a new contractor, we call <br />a few people they have done business with. <br /> <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Lease Agreement <br />Silver Oak <br />Schoo 1 site <br />Report 87-190 <br /> <br />Bid Award - <br />Veterans Park <br />grading project <br />Report 87-191 <br />
