Item 11. STANDARDS FOR VARIANCE
1. Owner maintains a three (3) plus million dollar inventory
in the building and must maintain security around the
perimeter of the building and the site. Truck trailers
are also parked adjacent to the building which are often
fully loaded.with carpet and other hard goods.
The permitted 3 1/2 foot high fence offers no security
whatsoever because materials can be readily lifted and
transported over the fence.
2. A security fence is required at and beyond the front
building line because of the required egress from the
property, the minimum required turning radius for large
over the road trailers, need to control truck traffic
and to secure the driveway at its narrowest point with a
swinging security gate. Fence location is well below
the front street elevation and does not create any visual
obstruction from the street.
3. The owner unwittingly and unintentionally arranged for the
installation of the fence before he was made aware of any
fence height restrictions and because anything less than
a 6 foot high fence would not comply with the requirements.
of the Owners Insurance Company. A lower height could
void the Owners "Content" Insurance coverage.
DATE January 19, 1979 •l? L?
lature, of Applicant
Signat re of Owne
