RESOLUTION NO.
NEW BRIGHTON PLADINING COMD7ISSION
BOAP.D OF REVIEW
RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND P.ECOMMENDID;G APPROVAL OF
' VAP.IANCE, VPd-222.
44HEREAS an application for a variance, VI~T-222 has been made i
by Lois McCallum to subdivide property creating one (1) lot with JI
.less than the required Flidth; and
WHEREAS the procedural history of the application is as
follows:
1. That an application for a variance, VN-222, was filed
with the City on July 14, 1981.
2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the applicat
at its regular meeting on July 21, 1981.
3. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner and
all person's statements made at the Board of Review.
meeting were considered.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Review that the
following Findings of Fact are made in respect to VN-222:
1. That the property is zoned R.-1, Single Family Residential
2. That there is an existing house in good physical conditio
which is located such to preclude equal division of the
property on County Road "D";
3. That the .property is unique in that there are two (2)
public streets and an existing home affecting the design;
4. That a hardship would result if only two (2) lots were
allowed along County Road "D" rather than the three (3)
proposed;
5. That subdivision with two (2) lots on County Road "D"
would create lots not symetrical with the lots off of
7th Street SW and excessive in size in comparison with
surrounding properties.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board recommends approval
Hof variance, VN-222 subject to the following conditions:
1. That the applicant dedicate seven (7) feet to Ramsey
~, County for additional right-of-way along Old Highway #8.
Adopted this day of 1981.
Roger LQilliams, Chairman
I!Joan Archer, City Planner
