I I I Council Meeting Minutes February 24, 1987 Sinda restated the council has been invited to the Fire Station at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 1987, to see the new fire pumper; and announced the Capital City Mutual Aid Association meeting at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 1987, also at New Brighton's Fire Station. Williams briefly reviewed the Marketing Meeting with Bob Hansen after which Hansen agreed to put together a proposal (procedural plan) on what we need to think about. Tonight the Marketing Committee met with John Risdall for his ideas; Risdall is anxious to see Hansen's proposal and suggested the City put together a steering committee (eight to ten). Williams reported the Market- ing Committee will meet again next week. LeFevere reported that one month ago the Ramsey County Delegation encouraged cities, counties, and judges to meet; today they reported to the Ramsey County Delegation, but not much progress has been made. LeFevere believes it would be fair to say the Delegation was increasingly frustrated (not directed at the cities); not clear what is going to happen next. However, it is clear that the legislature will dictate a result so it behooves everyone to get together. Following the meeting, LeFevere had a discussion with Gordon Griller, Judicial Administrator for Ramsey County; feels there should be something more concrete to report at the next council meeting.
