~ RESOLUTION N0. <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA ~ <br />~ COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON ~ <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING VARIANCE,VN-228. <br />WHEREAS, an application for VN-228 has been made by the <br />Korean United Methodist Church to put up a cross which will ex- <br />tend above the existing roof line and which also constitutes a <br />'second sign, and <br />WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as <br />follows: <br />1. That an application for a variance VN-228 was <br />filed with the City on December 5, 7983. <br />2. That the Planning Commission, pursuant to pub- <br />lished and mailed notices, held a public hearing <br />on December 20, 1983, all persons present at the <br />hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. <br />3. That such application was reviewed by the City <br />Council on December 27, 1983. <br />4. The written comments and analysis of the City <br />Staff, the Planning Commission minutes and <br />recommendations were considered. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that <br />the following Findings of Fact are made in respect to VN-228: <br />1. That the property is zoned R-1, Single Family <br />Residential. <br />2. That the building was originally constructed as a <br />school and retains that character. <br />3. That the applicant has shown unique and unusual <br />circumstances for the variance. <br />i <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that application for VN-228 is <br />and hereby approved. <br />,Adopted this27thday of December 1983. <br />Gregory B.
