PARK ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br />WHEREAS there is a need for recreational opportunities 'in <br />~' ~ <br />the area; ; <br />~~ - WHEREAS the City Council and Park Board have been encouraging <br />11 <br />;the development..and public use of Long Lake Park; { <br />WHEREAS the Metropolitan Council. desires to have Ramsey } <br />::`,County designated as implementinc agency; <br />i <br />WHEREAS the City of New Brighton and Ramsey County have <br />~~mutual'concerns about the operational and maintenance costs of ' <br />;;.Long Lake/Rush Lake Regional Park; <br />,, <br />' WHEREAS the execution of .the Joint Powers Agreement authorize <br />''the preparation of a Master Plan, containing physical .and <br />operational components, and specifies service responsibilities; <br />x <br />WHEREAS the City Council of the City of New Brighton has <br />,s review authority over such Master Plan; <br />#s WHEREAS the City Council has reviewed the Statement of <br />~~Understanding and finds it consistent with the Joint Powers <br />;Agreement; <br />,~ NOW"THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the mayor and City Manager l <br />=are authorized to execute the-Joint Powers Agreement covering ' <br />#t Long Lake/Rush Lake Regional Park on behalf of the City. { <br />~~ Adopted this day of 1981. <br />~~ w <br />~; <br />James W.
