Schmidf wanted to make sure he understood that we are going with <br />5 spaces but we could go up to 9 if Met Council insisted. <br />Anderson said yes. <br />Dahl said the picnic facility was attacked at the last meeting. <br />some of the Long Lake residents were concerned with. the large <br />picnic facility. Feel alot of the concerns were alleviated.. <br />Mostly noise and :visual concerns. Will look at Phalen's picnic <br />area. <br />Gunderman'asked what kinds of decis-ions were being made. <br />Dahl said the committee is using motions. <br />Gunderman asked if there was. a good working relationship with <br />those on, the committee. <br />Dahl said there. was a concern with literature that was being dis- <br />tributed:. It was discovered to be just a misunderstanding and <br />is now cleared up. <br />Gunderman said that based on phone conversations, people are <br />confused as to what the Council and Committee have done. There <br />should be some kind of document put out to clarify the confusion. <br />• Think we should make an effort to straighten it out. <br />Schmidt said he thinks it needs to be clarified also. <br />Gunderman said he couldn't believe the .incorrect information that <br />was floating arounz~ at the"Meet the Candidates''session. <br />Grimshaw said he agrees but thinks no .matter what we do, the rumors <br />will continue until the park is developed. <br />Dahl said that kind of information would be helpful for us .too. <br />Maybe as 'we finish ahe master planning process, it could be done. <br />Anderson said that much of the information would be in the master <br />plan. We could take that and expand on it. <br />Johnson.said Shodeen said the ordinance was only given local approval. <br />March 1981 were the guidelines. Why didn't we ever see them? <br />Anderson said there may be language changes and recommendations. <br />The. Long Lake Surface Use Ordinance. will be sent to Don Lais and <br />bring to conformation and it will be brought back to the Park <br />Board next spring. Don`t foresee any substantive changes. <br />Johnson said he .liked options discussed to control parking with <br />stickers. He is really impressed with the scope and thoroughnes s <br />of the study committee. No one goes off on tangents.. <br />
