Burdick said the question is, is the value to be gained worth the effort. He thinks it is. Schmidt. thinks that is very important. We have resources within the City. Exercise and use them. Gunderman said we wanted local control until we thought there was no other way to get `the development funds. Johnson said the Council should be polled to see if there is interest in this proposal. Gunderman s~.~d we need to present something to the Council before they make their decision. Johnson feels we have to know if they. are interested. Schmidt said, as one Council member, he would look at both options and weigh alternatives, The $750,000 is the main problem. Gunderman asked Johnson if he was willing to chair the committee. Johnson said no because he was already .over committed but. stated he would work with someone. Burdick stated he will look for a chairperson. Anderson said the new committee should work concurrently with the Long Lake Study Committee. Polzak asked Gunderman if he should call him. Gunderman said yes, he is willing to work but not on the financial end. Gunderman suggested setting up a meeting and go through it, each person in -their particular area can give his expertise. Meeting can be set up for next week... Polzak asked if Anderson-could be used as communication. Anderson agreed. Gunderman suggested a breakfast meeting. Gunderman said we will need a CPA and what other expertise? Polzak said a legal person for leases is needed, someone that knows about the buy=out and somone in real estate Gunderman told Polzak to put together those he knows of.
