Johnson said these are our criteria but if .the donator wanted something specific or designated they could have it. Anderson said if the gift is appropriate, no question but if if questionable it may come to the Park .Board or Council. Dahl said there could be. a paragraph. inserted explaining this. Carlson-said the item stating it should be decorative. or functional doesn"t make sense. Anderson said one time someone wanted to donate a fiberglass bull to the City... Motion by Van Hatten, seconded'by Carlson, to remove second.-item on criteria list. Motion passed.. Johnson abstained. Motion by Van Hatten, to remove item #3. Motion. failed for lack of a second. Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Dahl., to have item.#4 read "Item should .not be :included in City operating or, CLP budget.° Discussion Dahl said would like to have the option.. Using "'',could" or "might be° instead of ".should" would be a way to word it. Van Hatten said if we got. the money wont it go in the. budget? Johnson said what about .lighted athletic fields.' Van Ha ten asked if it will be put in the budgeta~ Anderson said the intent of the question was do we want to use the money for something we don't have. Anderson said it should not be included in current budget. Dahl said-yes, that sounds good. Motion by Van,Hatten, seconded by Dahl, to have the item read "Item should not be included in the current funding year budget_." Motion passed. Van Hatten asked what it meant by item must be consistent with approved-park plans, Gunderman said this is phase I of at least two phases. Van Hatten said the words "if possible" should be added to the end of the: second to the last item on the list reading "Donations should be used within the calendar year if possible."
