September 2, 1981 Park Board Minutes Page 2 <br />Dahl asked for each members feelings. <br />Carlson said he feels prejudiced because he knows some of. the people <br />very well. Carol Hansen .has put in slot of time previously. Want <br />someone who will represent the City as a whole and at the same time <br />would hike to see those that have expressed interest previously be <br />appointed. <br />Johnson said he would like to see Sue Brustman appointed. There is <br />no doubt that she would be first choice. .Because of Carol Hansen's <br />involvement prevously,.would .like to see her appointed also. <br />Hogan said he would back .Johnson on Sue Brustman and Carol Hansen. <br />Grimshaw agreed with the three previous comments. Feel there should <br />be someone who will represent the total City. <br />Dahl .asked how.the Park Board wanted to handle the ballots. <br />Johnson said he would. like to see them ranked. <br />It was decided. to be dons on paper by ranking them in order of <br />preference. <br />The results showed Susan Brustman, Carol Hansen and Susan Mansfield <br />as appointed. <br />Dahl asked Anderson what .the next move was. <br />Anderson said he will call Ken Simons to see when he wants to get <br />together. with the group. Anderson feels it should be some time <br />around the middle of September.. It's tough ,to know how the group <br />wants to proceed. Anderson said he will send a letter out - hopefully <br />by next week. <br />Someone asked who the Park Board representatives were fo.r the-committee. <br />They are George Carlson,. Ellen Dahl and Dorraine Olson. <br />Grimshaw asked if the committee will be reporting back to the Park <br />Board. <br />Anderson said there is no definite schedule to report but was sure <br />they. would. be kept up to date.. <br />B. Review Playground Plan - Sunny Square <br />Anderson. said staff doesnot typically bring the plan for playground <br />equipment to the Park Board but we have ordered one set. of equipment <br />and before we order the next.set.we would like to hear the Park <br />Board's commentsR Anderson said Pam Schmitz, Program Supervisor,. has <br />worked on the .project and asked her to explain to the Park Board. <br />
