September 2, 1951 Park Board Minutes Page 5 <br />Carlson said inserting a date would clarify. <br />Van Hatten mentioned that-major items were listed in the original <br />plan but .not in the current plan. <br />Anderson said because mostly they remain the same. <br />Van Hatten said the word "designat.~.d".' should be used instead of <br />"appointed" a nine member committee.. ..because the Park'. Board can't <br />appoint a committee. <br />Anderson-said he prefer the word appointed. <br />Van Hatten asked how close the 3/4 million dollar figure was. <br />Anderson said within $50.,000. <br />Dahl asked if the .figure .was needed. <br />Van Hatten felt the people should know. <br />Hogan did not have any comment. <br />Carlson said he_agreed with the other comments and asked.. if the <br />names of .those on the committee should be listed. <br />Johnson said that was a good idea. <br />Grimshaw asked what kind of session the committee would have. <br />Anderson said it will be open but.-not publicized. Expect to bring <br />in people such as Brechenridge and Ken Simons has a few wild life <br />people. <br />Dahl said if their names are there people can contact them if they <br />have input or concerns. List their names but no phone numbers. <br />Pat Commers said-she did not have a problem with her name being <br />listed but preferred not to have her phone number listed. <br />Van Hatten asked who selected the three Long Lake Committee members. <br />Anderson said the Long Lake Association took a vote.: <br />Van Hatten said he was concerned that these people are representing <br />the group. <br />Pat Commers asked if there was ever a park plan for just city-owned <br />and operated. <br />Anderson said yes. In 1967 there was a plan and it was_very <br />elaborate. <br />Pat Cobb said that on-the news release <br />the City will be paying Ramsey County. <br />Anderson said he would .use the word "p <br />Dahl expressed concern-with the phrase <br />She was not sure people would. know who <br />know. <br />the word "sub-contract" implies <br />rovide." <br />"will work with planners" <br />they were or if they needed to <br />Anderson. said. he didn't think they needed to know. <br />Dahl made a suggestion. for the last paragraph on the first page. <br />stating that a period be placed after "Ramsey County" and the word <br />"however" be eliminated and a new sentence. begin with "The City." <br />
