Meyers asked why we are dealing-with a plan about 10 years old. Anderson said the concept 'plan was approved by .the City Council in 1978.' How things are designed, location, costs, etc. are what will be in the master plan. Anderson said this will be 'one of the smallest regional parks in the 'Met-to area. Gunderman asked for comments and concerns from the Park Board on the joint powers,,agreement.. L.'Vabian, resident, asked who will give the final say on the master plan. Gunderman said the Park Board will look at it first and then on to the Council. A resident asked if the residents will have input. Gunderman said yes in the planning.., ;here will be a committee of 3 people from Long Lake, I not on the lake and 3 Park Board members. A resident asked will there be meetings. Dahl said `she ;wanted to clarify something. If we would suggest to the Council, approval of the joint powers agreement and the Statement of Understanding, as adendum, is this committing us to start the-master plan. Anderson said that's his understanding. Fornell said there is a-final check point by the City Council an d Ramsey,.County on the master plan. Anderson said without final approval of the master plan, there is no <commitment by the City. Benke said that is his understanding. The City Attorney will -look over before City Council approves, The City Attorney has it now to review. We start at ground zero if it'snot approved.
