t <br />April l; 1981 Park Board .Minutes ~ Page 7 <br />Van Hatten asked if ,any formal action was needed., ~, <br />• Anderson said no -'just for information purposes. <br />Anderson said the Mayor has done a good job with the Metro Council... <br />If the Park Board is serious about bong Lake you will have to do' <br />a similar thing with the Parks' and `Open-Space Commission. <br />Gunderman said the .Park Board 'could b~ sent a copy of those persons., <br />If someone knows someone on the list, let Maurie know that's who <br />you will be contacting and if you don't know anyone you will-be <br />assigned one. <br />Van Hatten asked if they should ,allow time for this ,to filter in. <br />Anderson said they all have the information and they will be receiving <br />a follow up on what happened, along-with the letter from Sue Brustman <br />and Arl-y stating what •they `said at 'the meeting. <br />Gunderman asked that each member get back to Maurie after the contact <br />to let him know who. was contacted and when. <br />Gunderman said the discussion ~.nd objections`shoul°d be logged. <br />• .Anderson said we are promoting development asking them to help <br />us do it. <br />Gunderman said Sue Brustman did a very good job. He will' write her <br />a latter. <br />D. New 'Brighton .Historical Society Request <br />E <br />Jerry Bensing was present and stated lie would like to have some kind <br />of agreement with teen alters in the rhubarb operation. He said they.. <br />.may have to come into the area,wi h a boat. May make a few hundred <br />dollars'on roots because of`the early sprin'g." Next year could be a <br />better year, <br />r ~ , <br />Gunderman said he was'gl,ad to s;ee som~one~nterested in this project. <br />Sensing said he had heard concern that he may sell'it all out~to one <br />person who may then. make money ;and start a business. He does not in- <br />tend to do that. <br />Motion by Van Hatten, seconded by Olson, to approve the Historical <br />Society's request. Motion passed. <br />VI. Old Business <br />A. Comprehensive Plan.Revew <br />Gunderman stated he, Anderson aid Val Hatten met at Robert Lee's to <br />discuss the plan. <br />Anderson said_if the plan was approved tonight he would get the <br />finished product to the Park Board next month. <br />
