March 3, 1981 Park Board Minutes
.Page 8
Page H - This will accompany map (.will be reduced and included in
the elan).
Van Hatten commented that the middle paragraph did not apply.
Anderson sand it is correct. We have the plan but it has not been
implemented.
Grimshaw noted that pages E & H did not correspond as far as acres.
Anderson said it should be 186.
Page Jl - Gunderman asked what were the concerns on the philosophy.
Gunderman said he took the information from what a recreation should
be. Spent time on goals and objectives and then cut and pasted it
together. He said this gives an idea of what the Whole looks like
and the Park Board can take it from there.
Anderson said he took what Gunderman had prepared. and added what
the City Comprehensive Plan had.
Anderson-said he would like to go through it sentence by sentence
because it is vital in the sense we are running out of time.
Johnson commented that he would like to see the Philosophy section
location in the front of the document.
Dahl and Van Hatten agreed.
Gunderman suggested that if there were any comments on this section
that they be sent to P_nderson by next Monday and Gunderman & Anderson
would put it together and if there were. conflicts they would call a
special meeting.
Van Hatten felt a special meeting should be called.
Dahl said that Anderson asked the Park Board to look over the plan
and be ready this meeting to-make suggestions or changes, She
could see no conflicts and felt comfortable with it,
Grimshaw agreed with Dahl. V1e've looked it over before. Can't
see that a special meeting is needed at this time.
Van Hatten said that if everyone is comfortable with it, then no
special meeting is necessary..
Gunderman, Anderson, and Van Hatten scheduled an 11:30 meeting on
Wednesday at Robert Lee's to discuss the philosophy section. Anyone
who wanted to attend was invited.
Gunderman reminded everyone to have their comments to Anderson by
Monday so they could be discussed at the Wednesday meeting.
