We now appear.
L(-) bt, at. t.hu point where the Solution would be Oxpansion
Or Lite facility for fire purposes,and inclusion of the
pOl ice., thurefore crucating a public safut.y building.
(-'oncurrelttly, with the. decision to create a public
s,iI e L y Eac -i l.ity, attention can be given to impto vi.ny
t hc_ A Llocation of space within City Hall for Yn?l.ineerinq
'And PLanni.lig. While we
do not necessarily want to totally halt the development
and renovation of City public lands, it would appear to
mu that the emphasis from parks ought to shift in favor
• of the revenue generating liquor store and the public
safety needs which for so long now have gone unittet.
My recommendation for funding the municipal liquor store
and the ire hall renovation, with a tentative allocation
of funds for other capital needs, is as :Follows:
1) $700,000 - Municipal Liquor Store;
a) $350,000 from Liquor Reserves
b) $350,000 by a Revenue Bond Iss ue
2) $425,000 - fire hall Renovation:
a) $150,000 from Liquor Reserves
b) $175,000 from Revenue Sharing Fund
c) $100,000 from General Reserve Fund
Funds Funds Funds Funds lialI
Avail.abl.e AL-Located Available Allocated in Fund
12/3t/8() 1_980 1-981 - 1981_-- 1_2/_31
Liquor Fund $400,000 $350,000 $150,0001. $150,000 $ 5O,U(
(l.iq.
