' Van Hatters felt this should be passed on to the Council without. recommendation and that residents be brought back only for the__._ Council meeting. Sylvester commented that now we may miss the CIP budges deadline. Anderson said the Council can still give approval - it's not a major problem. Carlson asked what new element made us throw everything residents and Park Board have worked toward away. Hogan stated he's not sure a single. entrance/exit is the best. Dual entrance/exit was not given fair consideration. Gunderman felt it was fair consideration. Hogan felt the safety aspect has not. been discussed properly. Carlson stated it wasn't brought up once this whole meeting. Benke stated he would like to comment on this safety claim. He feels there will be problems with both. the single and double entrance. The mid-block entrance was d.iseussed and rejected a year ago by residents. As a practical matter, what will be gained? Residents have already added their input. Dahl feels now it is only fair-the residents get achance to restate their arguments. Benke recognizes this as a:.valid argument with the same people and the same arguments. Motion by Van.Hatters, seconded by Johnson, to send concept plans to the Council with no recommends ion of the numb¢r of entrances. Motion failed. Dahl:; ,-Carlson,-. Carl-son stated that it is on record that Plan C be recommended. Van Hatters stated Plan Chas been rescinded. Motion by Carlson, seconded by Van Hatters, to recommend Flan C and come up with rectangular parking lots; one variation with' single exit and one with two separate entrances/exits and resi- dents be notified of that. Motion passed. 4 ayes.
