Move tentatively
to 1982.
Park Signing -.Anderson said entrance and informational signs are
needed. Grimshaw favors leaving as is.
Leave as is.
Sun/Picnic Shelters - perhaps fits with comprehensive .plan. 1982
would still be appropriate for it. Leave in 1982.
RCE Donation Land Equipment - Development is behind schedule.
Possible move to 1983 (float with above item).
Renovate Play Area, Sunny Square - Gunderman concerned with what
happened at Sunnyside doesn't .happen again. Anderson spoke with
Mr. Funk about land swap. 1.981-82 is still on target.. Anderson agreed.
Curb and. Surf ace Parking Lots - South Hansen, and Sunny Square
north needs curbing and overlay.. Gunderman feels we are spending
alot of money on parking lots. Would like to save parking lot
money for something like Long Lake. Anderson commented that a new
curbing is being tried. The mad extends to the end and then the.
curb is nailed through the bituminous. into the ground. It is
much cheaper; 1/4 cost or less. They look much the same .and may..
be a good alternative. Gunderman.stated that initial cost is high
and upkeep-for parking lots is also high. Benke commented that he
would also like to avoid it but is there a good alternative?
Grimshaw wondered if striping was really needed (except at Hansen)
It was decided that the word "curb" should be striked and the word
"upgrade" replace it:
Move to 1983 with the idea it could be shuffelled if necessary.
Veterans Building - in conjunction with downtown development.
Should be appropriate for whatever is put in the downtown area.
Mobe to 1983 or 1984 depending on downtown and: comprehensive
park plan-and also with the Historical Society in mind.
Acquisition of Perron Property - Perron is having a problem getting
an appraisal. Should stay where it is.
