Community Wreation Programs <br />The Department of Community Services plans and provides recreation programs throughout the <br />year for tiny tots, children, youth; teens, adults and seniorcitizens of the community. The department <br />co-ordinates all recreation activities; holds numerous community school classes, establishes city <br />cooperation with the recreation programs of nursery, elementary and secondary schools located <br />in the city, plans many special events, maintains a senior citizen club, and is direct) res <br />the activities of many community groups, agencies and organizations. y ponsible for <br />The Blaine-Spring Lake Park Athletic Association, working with the Recreation <br />activities to supplement those Department, provides <br />...12th rode provided by the city. Several thousand children; pre-school through <br />grade participate in the Association's programs, T-Ball, Football, Hockey, Soccer, Basketball <br />and other sports each year. <br />it is im <br />playpossible to accurately measure the total use of all recreation facilities since certain. uses of <br />ground equipment, tennis courts; skating rinks, etc., are not monitored.
