v <br />February 6, 1980: Park Board Minutes <br /> <br />Page 7 <br />Susan Fitzpatrick asked if the residents would be notified <br />of morediscusson or new ~ropos~l.e <br />~nn~to ~cated that the next discussion would be at the Council <br />meeting-eithet~ Tuesday, the 12th or Tuesday, the 26th. <br />A resident asked if the park wasn°t already approved. <br />City Planner., responded no. Rezoning has been approved and <br />streets and utilities. have ,be=en installed: in the northern <br />sect-.ion of the development. <br />City Engineer.stated.sewer and water have been installed in <br />two culdesacs. <br />C. Silver Oak Development Plan <br />Joan'Archer, City Planner9 explained to the Park Board <br />that the Planning Commission had reviewed the Silver Oak <br />project and had. six items they wished the Park Board to <br />comment on.. <br />Jake Cadwallader, developer, was present to explain the <br />• new plan which was developed at the resident's request. <br />He explained that. the plan did delete housing on Oakwood <br />as requested by residents.' In his development he has- 35 <br />units 9 23 townhouse units a.nd 12 eondo-n.inum units . His <br />main concern now is.where to relocate the tennis courts. <br />Residents stated their first choice was the northwest <br />:^o~~ner o the site ;.>ut anc.~rstand -~hai this is , a: problem <br />due to a water main in the-area. Their second choice <br />-would be the northeast corner. <br />Director of Park and Recreation stated he could only <br />recommend the northeast corner as a location for the <br />.tennis courtse Most of the playground equipment would not <br />have to be moved. <br />Dahl asked if there would be parking on the street. <br />Anderson said there .could be a small parking area adjacent <br />to the tennis courts. <br />Gunderman asked residents how they felt about putting the <br />tennis courts in the northeast corner of the site. <br />Residents responded .they had no problem,-with that. <br />Residents stated that on-street parking would be fine <br />but they would not be opposed to 'a small parkin lot nea <br />g r <br />the tennis courts. <br />
