A resident asked if the park wasn°t already approved. City Planner., responded no. Rezoning has been approved and streets and utilities. have ,be=en installed: in the northern sect-.ion of the development. City Engineer.stated.sewer and water have been installed in two culdesacs. C. Silver Oak Development Plan Joan'Archer, City Planner9 explained to the Park Board that the Planning Commission had reviewed the Silver Oak project and had. six items they wished the Park Board to comment on.. Jake Cadwallader, developer, was present to explain the • new plan which was developed at the resident's request. He explained that. the plan did delete housing on Oakwood as requested by residents.' In his development he has- 35 units 9 23 townhouse units a.nd 12 eondo-n.inum units . His main concern now is.where to relocate the tennis courts. Residents stated their first choice was the northwest :^o~~ner o the site ;.>ut anc.~rstand -~hai this is , a: problem due to a water main in the-area. Their second choice -would be the northeast corner. Director of Park and Recreation stated he could only recommend the northeast corner as a location for the .tennis courtse Most of the playground equipment would not have to be moved. Dahl asked if there would be parking on the street. Anderson said there .could be a small parking area adjacent to the tennis courts. Gunderman asked residents how they felt about putting the tennis courts in the northeast corner of the site. Residents responded .they had no problem,-with that. Residents stated that on-street parking would be fine but they would not be opposed to 'a small parkin lot nea g r the tennis courts.
