He asked how much Ar~derson9s staff could handle. Anderson stated that the binding, copying, etc. is a problem. Expects to work closely with consultants. Consultants may interview and put into a form that can be used at a later date, Carlson also agreed with Dahl and Anderson -- get line of attack and add our other input. Likes the idea of a con- sultant for item. C2 (Long Lake) Anderson stated that the goal setting would become part of the plan. Kern said he felt the same as Carlson. Grimshaw liked one similar to the plan Blaine developed in-~ eluding the goal setting. Olson stated she saw a need for the plan but didnpt know how to go about it. She ~~rould like to see local input. Dahl stated that one of the things done in 1967 was defini- tions and guidelines of number of acres. This would be helpful to redefine. Anderson commented that this is one of the things the Mayor was concerned about. Gunderman has fear of an outside consultant coming in. t~~ould like to look at samples of other plans to get an idea how it can be done. Anderson stated he has looked at many city plans and liked about three or four and ~n7ill bring them to the next meeting. They are about 30 pages with graphs, charts, etc. Feels the project should take about one year, we should take time to do a good job. Blomquist asked if the intent was to have it ready for CIP. Anderson said no, that didn°t appear to >/e possible. Grimshaw said the Park Board should let the Council know that this is being done. Anderson stated that Council approval is needed before a firm can be contracted.
