Based on recent <br />bids, the amounts listed for the bridge, parking lots and trails <br />are probably 50~ low. <br />PARK SIGNING $5,000.00/Neighborhood Facilities <br />New Brighton's parks have never been adequately provided with <br />informational signing. With the recent adoption of a compre- <br />hensive park use ordinance and an ordinance governing use of <br />Long Lake, it is:imperative that a comprehensive signing program <br />be undertaken. <br />Budget <br />Signs $ 4,000.00 <br />Posts 1,000.00 <br />$ 5,000.00 <br />6) <br />The signs being proposed are informational in nature and for <br />the most part would be stamped metal. <br />1981 <br />SUN/PICNIC SHELTERS $15,000.00/Neighborhood Facilities <br />Combination Sun/Picnic shelters are being requested for .all <br />neighborhood parks. These are small open sided structures <br />that would be placed near playground areas and would be used <br />for small picnic groups and as a.sun shelter for parents <br />accompanying children. <br />These shelters would be placed at Freedom, Sunny Square, <br />Veteran's, Hidden Oaks, Totem Pole, and Vermont Parks. They <br />are open sided approximately 20 x 24 and currently are priced <br />at about $1,700.00 apiece. <br />7) RCE DONATION LAND EQUIPr1ENT $15,000.00 <br />The objective of this project is to equip this park with basic <br />park amenities such as play equipment, benches, pi_cni_c tables, <br />backstop, etc. <br />
