AGREEMENT <br />FO R <br />JOINT POWERS OPERATION <br />OF <br />LONG LAKE-RUSH LAKE <br />METROPOLITAN REGIONAL PARK <br />EFFECTIVE THIS AGREEMENT, made this day of 19 by <br />DATE: <br />and between the City of New Brighton, a municipal .corporation within <br />PARTIES: <br />the State of Minnesota, County of Ramsey, having its principal office <br />at 803 5th Avenue N.W., New Brighton, Minnesota 55112, hereafter <br />CITY, <br />AND <br />The County of Ramsey, a political subdivision of the State of <br />Minnesota, having its principal office at Suite 316, Court House,' <br />St. Paul, Minnesota 55102, hereafter COUNTY, <br />WITNESSETH <br />RECITALS: THAT WHEREAS, The Long Lake-Rush Lake Metropolitan Regional Park <br />was conceived of and designed-for operation as a single recreational <br />resource and Regional Park Site, and <br />WHEREAS, the CITY is owner of the Long Lake Park Section while <br />the COUNTY is owner of the Rush-Lake Park. Section, and <br />WHEREAS, the COUNTY is the Local Implementing Agency for Metro- <br />. politan R~gional.Park pursuant to Laws of Minnesota 1973, Chapter 563. <br />as amended (Metro Regional Parks Act) and <br />WHEREAS, the CITY is empowered under terms of its charter and <br />other laws and statutes of the State of Minnesota, to acquire, develop <br />program and operate parks for the benefit of its corporate citizens <br />and the public in general, and <br />WHEREAS, the COUNTY is empowered under Laws of Minnesota 1977, <br />Chapter 425 as amended (Rmmsey County Codification) and taws of <br />Minnesota 1973, Chapter 563 as amended: (Metro Parks Act}, to acquire,- <br />developprogram and operate parks for the benefit of its citizens <br />and the public in general, and ' <br />
