Anderson, Director Park and Recreation
Z
z Re: 1979 Capital Improvements Program
z _
O
F-
_ The 1979-82 Capital Improvement Plan. includes the following
c7
,~ Capital Improvement Projects for 1979.
m
~ 1. Playground Equipment $10,000.00
2 2. Development Hidden Oaks East $45,000.00
p 3. Tennis Court, Totem Pole $15,000.00
o -4.-.Tennis. Court Repair, Hansen Park $20,000.00
~ 5. Hansen`Park Improvements $50,000.00. ~`
w
Y The Han en Park Improvements(#5) were approved by the Council
as a part of the 1979 budget process... The reason being that
~ :this project is funded with Revenue Sharing funds and because
j of federal requirements must be included in the regular,.budget
-' process.
The remaining projects are funded by liquor receipts and be-
~- cause of the recent transitions involving city managers, have
Z not yet been presented to the Council for funding approval.
u.i
H
~ It is my recommendation that. the $10,000 budgeted for playground
na. equipment be increased to $12,000 to allow for installation ex-
w penses. It is .becoming apparent that our Park Department per-
sonnel will not be able to install this equipment in 1979. I
O also recommend that the amount budgeted for Hansen Park improve
Q merits be increased to $60,000. It is highly improbable that the
w $50,000. projected for 1979 and the $25,.000 .for 1980 will be ade-
_v quate to complete the work in .the renovation plan recently approved
w by'the Park Board.
Z
Q
~ ')
a ~ `~.
~// i~~' -
.r
