r <br />i <br />Sec .. 19-34. <br />No person shall operate a non-motorized watercraft, <br />except a sailboat, in the wake zone of the lake when <br />motor-powered watercraft producing a wake occupy the- <br />. ~ same half as divided by the channel of .the lake. <br />Sec. 19-35. Direction of Travel <br />No .person shall operate a watercraft producing a wake <br />in a clockwise direction; the only permissible direction <br />shall be to operate the boat in a counter-clockwise <br />~' direction. <br />Sec. 19-36. Motorized Vehicles on Lake Surface Ice <br />~~ a. Speed limit. No ,person shall operate a motorized <br />~~ vehicle in excess of 30 miles per hour. <br />'.' b. Distance. No person shall operate a motorized <br />~' vehicle in excess of ei ht miles <br />g per hour within <br />one hundred fifty feet of any fisherman, fish <br />~' house, pederestrian, skier, skater, skating rink, <br />where such operation would endanger other persons <br />or property. <br />;, <br />c. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle unless <br />headlights and taillights are. illuminated. <br />i Sec. 19-37. <br />The Director of Parks: and Recreation or the City <br />Manager, upon determining that there is probable danger <br />ii to persons or property, may close the lake surface to all <br />recreational use by .posting notice of such order. <br />~' 5ec. 19-38 Violations of the Minnesota Waters-and Water- <br />! craft Safety Laws and. Boat and Water Safety Rules and Reg- <br />ulations Promu~~ated by the Minnesota Department of Natural <br />Resources <br />Any person violating the Minnesota Waters and Water- <br />" craft .Safety Laws and the Boat and Water Safety Rules and <br />Regulations promulgated. by the Minnesota Department of <br />Natural Resources, adopted and incorporated herein by <br />reference, shall be subject to the penalties and punish- <br />ment hereinafter provided. <br />Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect after its <br />adoption and publication except Sec. 19.31 c and d which <br />shall take effect upon the official opening of the Long- <br />Lake Regional Park boat launch. <br />ATTEST: <br />Vernon C.
