No person shall operate a non-motorized watercraft, except a sailboat, in the wake zone of the lake when motor-powered watercraft producing a wake occupy the same half as divided by the channel of the lake. Sec. 19-35. No person shall operate a watercraft producing a wake... in a clockwise direction; the only permissable direction .for-such activities shall be to operate the boat in a counter-clockwise direction. .Sec.- 19-36. Motorized Vehicles on Lake Surface Ice a. Speed limit. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle in excess of 30 miles per hour. b. Distance. No person shall operate a motorized vehicle in excess of eight miles per hour• klithin one hundred fifty feet of any fisherman, fish. house, pederestrian, skier, skater,. skating rink, or other area where such operation-would conflict with or endanger other. persons or property. c. D1o person shall operate a motorized vehicle unless headlights and taillights are illuminated. Sec. 19-37. The Director of Parks and Recreation or the City Manager, upon determining that there is probable danger to persons or property, may close the lake surface to all recreational use by posting notice of such order. Sec. 19-38. Violations of the Minnesota Waters and Watercraft Safety Laws and Boat and Water Safety Rules and Regulations Promu- gated by the Minnesota Department of Dlatural Resources. Any person violating the Minnesota Waters and [^7atercraft Safety .Laws and the Boat and Water Safety Rules and Regu- lations promulgated by the Pinnesota Department of Natural Resources, adopted and incorporated herein by reference shall be subject to the penalties and. punishment herein- after provided. Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect after its adoption and publication except Sec. 19.31 c and d which shall take effect upon the official opening of the Long Lake Regional Park boat launch. .ATTEST: James W.
