Zylla, City Manager RE: 1980-85 Capital Improvement'Program DATE; September 4, 1979 On Thursday August 30, 197,9 the City Council reviewed the draft Capital Improvement-Program submitted_by the Park Board. The City Council discussed the `proposal at length and determined: that certain projects 'should be deleted, certain projects'should be moved to a<different funding year,. and certain projects should"be presented with additional detail for the Council to review. The City ..Council :would like additional detail`on the following projects:< Sub-Program: NEIGHBORHOOD FACILITIES 1. 'Veterans Passive Area - describe in more detail the intent of the $35,000 appropriation. 2. :Sun/Picnic Shelters - describe within which parks the picnic shelters are to be allocated and identify: the size 'and construction material of the shelter. 3. Playground Equipment - describe the type of play equipment-and the location.:proposed for the equipment. Also identify current'.-equipment on .hand and yet to be installed plus equipment on order yet to be-installed. Sub-Program: COMMUNITY FACILITIES 1. Light Athletic Facilities - explain which park facilities are to be lighted and describe the type of lighting to be purchasedfor $60,000. The Council may delete entirely.:: 2. Develop Creekview - describe what is to be accomplished with 'a:$35,000 appropriation to develop Creekview. 3. Hansen Park Renovation - provide more detail as to the expected costs, broken down wherever .possible, to. accomplish a $30,000 renovation to Hansen Park. The City. Council also shifted certain items to other years.' Sub-Program; NEIGHBORHOOD_FACILITIES 1. RCE Land Development - from 198.0 to 1981. 2. RCE Donation Land Equipment - from 1981`to 1982. 3. Renovate-Play Area, Sunny; Square - from 1981 to 1980. 4. .Veterans. Building - from 1984 to 1980 or 1981.
