PARK BOARD MINUTES <br />WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7, 1978 <br />I. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by <br />Chairman Gunderman. <br />II. Members present: Carlson, Dahl, Grimshaw, Gunderman, <br />Johnson, Kern, Olson, Westling. <br />Absent: Cook <br />III. Minutes of May 10, 1978 meeting were approved as sub- <br />mitted. <br />IV. Motion by Dahl, seconded by Westling, to accept letter <br />from Kathy Hritzo, re: Long Lake Park and place on: file. <br />Motion carried. <br />Chairperson Gunderman distributed copies of a letter from <br />the New Brighton League of Z~Tomen Voters commending the <br />Board for its efforts in planning Long Lake Park and <br />supporting the concept plan as approved by the Park Board. <br />Motion by Olson, seconded by Kern to accept letter. <br />Motion carried. <br />V. New Business <br />A. Staff brought the Board up to date on efforts to <br />effect a purchase or swap of a lot owed by Elliot <br />Funk adjacent to Sunny Square Park. Motion by <br />Olson, seconded by Kern that the Board recommends <br />trading the city's most northerly lot for the lot <br />now owned by Mr. Funk. Motion carried. <br />B. Staff informed the Board that seeding and sodding <br />at Driftwood Park would be done in early fall. <br />C. The July meeting date was set at Wednesday, July 19th, <br />7:00 p.m. at the City Hall. All Park Board and <br />Council Members and their spouses are invited to a <br />pot luck picnic at Hansen Park, 6:00 p.m. July 19th. <br />D. Motion by Olson, seconded by Westling, to change meeting <br />time from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Motion carried. <br />Kern, Dahl voted nay. <br />VI. Announcements - <br />VII.
