1
~ .~ ,
,~
} ~ 1615 18th Avenue NW
New .Brighton, MN ,55112
1 June 5, 1978
+ Mr. Arlyn Gunderman, Chairman
~ New Brighton Park Board
~ 1203 Highview Drive
New Brighton, MN 55112
~~. Dear Mr• Gundermans
~ The League of Women Voters of New Brighton commends the eaten-
sive work done by the Park Board in planning the Long Lake
.~ regional park and applauds your efforts in providing means for
~ active citizen involvement in the planning process.
~ The concept plan was discussed at our May unit meetings and at
the meeting of the Board of Directors. We support your concept
plan for the-park, as it is consistent with current- League land
use and park positions.
We trust that in making the hard decisions in regard to boat
' access and like issues you will continue to consider the carry-
~ ing capacity, including public safety and environmental con-
• corns, as well as insuring equal public access.
very truly yours,
Susan M. Brustman
President
