l -~ <br />Board felt that a Bond Issue for l/2 million dollars does not signifi- <br />cantly serve the entire community. <br />Motion by Smith for the Council to re-evaluate recommended bond <br />indebtedness limit. It was pointed out by Jasinski that such an <br />approach was not in the best interest of the Park Board's objectives. <br />Further discussion of the bond issue continued with Gunderman suggesting <br />that a request be made to the Council to review the recommended bond <br />indebtedness. Motion was withdrawn by Smith. <br />Motion by Smith to recommend to the Council for a Park Bond Issue for <br />2 million dollars in March of 1975 to include the following projects <br />l~ Completion of present park development <br />2~ Addition of golf course purchase <br />3 Construction of ice arena <br />~+~ Outdoor pool facility <br />Motion was seconded by Jasinski. Motion was defeated 6 - Nayes <br />0 - Ayes <br />Motion by Smith that PaY'k Board f~;vors a Park Bond Issue for the <br />following projects> <br />1 Completion of present park development program <br />2 Addition of golf course purchase <br />3 Construction of ice arena <br />L!- Outdoor pool facility <br />With the total cost of $2,019,000 and9 therefore, the $795,000 limit is <br />inadequate and thereby request of the Council to review the recommended <br />bond indebtedness. Motion seconded by Jasinski. Motion carrieso <br />- I~Tayes 6 - Ayes <br />Evaluation of Priorities in Capital Improvements Plan <br />Upon the request of the administration, the Park Board reviewed the <br />current Capital Improvements Plan for _975 and discussed possible <br />changes ~n priorities. Items discussed included accelerating projects <br />scheduled for 1976 and joint development of tennis facilities at Silver <br />Oak Elementary School. <br />Motion by Gunderman and seconded by Dahl that the Park Board's recommen- <br />dation is to maintain the 1975 projects at Vermont Park and 1.5th. Sheet <br />N.W. sites and to accelerate the 1976 project of lighting of the tennis <br />courts at Hansen Park into the year 1975. Motion carries 0 - Nayes <br />6 - Ayes . <br />
