CONSIDERATION OF LIONS CLUB LEASE.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Public Hearing

Benke stated the request is for consideration to subdivide a
parcel of land into two lots.

Locke stated that the applicant requested the hearing be contin-
ued to December 27, 1986 at 7:30 p.m. because the applicant is
attempting to purchase land to correct a problem on their site.

There being no further questions or comments from the council,
Schmidt moved, seconded by Williams, to CONTINUE THE PUBLIC
HEARING TO DECEMBER 27, 1986, AT 7:30 P.M.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Council Business

Anderson briefly reviewed and explained the staff report concern-
ing a request from Ramsey County for council to approve its plan to
purchase two trail easements from the Minnesota Transfer Railroad.
Stated these easements are necessary because the portion of the
trail that goes along the east side of Long Lake Park will have
to be re-routed to avoid some of the historical remnants of the
old ice house and also because the soil conditions down by the
lake are not suitable for construction of the trail.

Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Schmidt to GRANT APPROVAL OF
RAMSEY COUNTY'S PLAN TO ACQUIRE PERMANENT EASEMENTS FROM MINNESOTA
TRANSFER RAILROAD.

5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Anderson gave an overview of the staff report concerning a
requested change to the Joint Powers Agreement relating to the
Long Lake Regional Park Advisory Board by the Ramsey County
Board of Commissioners.

Mayor Benke asked where in the documents it specifies that the
City would appoint one member to the Board and the County would
appoint one.

Anderson responded that he did not include the Draft Copy of the
revised Joint Powers Agreement in the staff report. Stated that
the revision does include the language that is in the staff
report.

Page Two

Charitable Gambling
Lions Club
Report 86-284A

Public Hearing

PL-153
Francis Jay
Report 86-285
7:35-7:37pm

Council Business

Ramsey County
Request for
Easements -
Long Lake Park
Report 86-286

Revision: Joint
Powers Agreement
Long Lake Regional
Park Advisory Bd.
Report 86-287
