<br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 28, 1986 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Benke agreed that it would be an appropriate artifact for the <br />city to acquire and, with council consent, DIRECTED STAFF TO <br />WRITE A LETTER TO THE RAMSEY COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY SUPPORT- <br />ING THE AQUISITION OF A HISTORICAL NEW BRIGHTON PICTURE. <br /> <br />Page Three <br /> <br />Williams asked if the RCHS has indicated a willingness transfer <br />ownership of the picture. Beisswenger did not believe they <br />wanted to relinquish ownership; and further stated she had asked <br />the Board of Directors to be in contact with the Society; they <br />said that nothing given to the RCHS was to be given to another Society. <br />Beisswenger noted the RCHS is going under the name of Ramsey County and it is <br />only a St. Paul society, which is why she feels she has the <br />responsibility of seeing that a picture that would mean much to <br />New Brighton is not housed in a storage room. <br /> <br />Locke had nothing to add to the staff report concerning final. <br />plat approval of PL-140 B for Rush Lake Business Park and the <br />applicant had no questions. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Brandt, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING <br />APPROVAL OF FINAL PLAT PL-140 B. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Locke had nothing further to add to the staff report for a Pur- <br />chase Agreement with Robert and Elaine Waldoch for property at <br />889 Highway 100, which is a part of Tax Increment District No.6. <br /> <br />Schmidt asked how many properties had yet to be finalized; Locke <br />responded there were five in Tax Increment District No.6, but <br />that not all were within the Winfield project. Locke added that <br />negotiations have begun with all of the remaining property owners. <br /> <br />In response to Williams inquiry, Locke indicated the appraisal <br />for the property was done by Winfield Mitchell and accepted by <br />the owner.
