Council Meeting Minutes October 28, 1986 I Consent Agenda Motion by Benke, seconded by Brandt, to APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: 1. CONSOLIDATED VOUCHERS: 80598-80974 AND 74791-74795. 2. CONSIDERATION OF PURCHASE OF TELEPHONE SYSTEM FOR FIRE DEPART- MENT. 3. CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION APPROVING ELECTION JUDGES FOR NOVEMBER 4, 1986 ELECTION. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried Public Hearing Proper had nothing to add to the staff report concerning the vacation of two util ity easements on the United Theological Seminary property, but noted City Attorney had provided an amended proposed resolution. I LeFevere explained the resolution was amended to make it clear that by vacating these easements we are not intending to vacate those easements which will be dedicated with filing of the Semin- ary Estates plats, and that they do coincide. Dr. Mills stated it would be very helpful for the Seminary to to have the change. As there were no questions or comments from neither council nor the audience, Schmidt moved, seconded by Williams, to CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND AOOPT A RESOLUTION VACATING THE TWO UTILITY EASEMENTS ON THE UNITED THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY PROPERTY. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried Counc il Bus i ness I Julie Beisswenger requested the council's assistance in obtaining ownership of a picture of the Cattlemen's Hotel, one of the few remaining articles of historical value; the picture is currently on loan from the Ramsey County Historical Society (RCHS) for one year and is on display in the First Bank of New Brighton; she believes it should be permanently housed and on display in New Brighton, especially in view of our upcoming Centennial year, rather than being stored in the RCHS's warehouse, which is where it will be stored once the loan period has elapsed.
