N.43.
Hagemeyer questioned the idea of leasing property from the Seminary. It
was explained that there was a need for park land in that area and the
possibility of the Village developing and maintaining use facilities on
Seminary property seemed to be an economical method of providing a recreation
area.
Dahl stated that the Board has espoused a philosophy of cooperating with
other agencies and this would be a good way to implement that philosophy.
Gunderman requested that a feeler be sent out to the Seminary to assess their
reaction to such an arrangement.
Hagemeyer stated that the parcel on Cleveland Avenue in Vermont Park should
be a high priority acquisition. Gunderman reminded the Board that originally
it was felt that this area would be served by park facilities in Arden Hills.
He also questioned the economics of having to purchase 2 dwellings in con-
junction with the ,land, Smith requested that Arden Hills be contacted to
determine a time table for park development in that area..
