I

I

I

Council Meeting Minutes
October 14, 1986

Announcements and Updates, continued

ordinance that would require those cars to be removed by 10:00
p.m. (quasi-public area); 2. As there is vandalism during the
evenings by older teen-agers to the new equipment in the park
adjacent to the school, he would like staff to consider a curfew
in parks (perhaps 10:00 p.m.). Sinda received a consensus from
the council to proceed to refer the items to staff.

Brandt advised that the Financial Policy Advisory Board held a
public meeting on water and sewer rate structure, and advised
council the Board will be coming to council with its recommenda-
tion; Brandt noted that one person was asked to submit, in writ-
ing, her proposal.

Brandt advised that Richard Peterson of Standard/Amoco spoke to
the Environmental Quality Commission and reviewed the location,
the maintenance, and operation of the Amoco fuel pipeline
which runs through New Brighton.

With regard to Williams Pipeline, Benke stated the response to
Proper's letter made no commitment so he (Benke) would write
another letter regarding pipeline work on Long Lake Road by
Irondale High School.

(Williams left the room)

Benke suggested a workshop to review City Manager's performance
evaluation on Tuesday, October 28, 1986, prior to the next
council meeting at 6:00 p.m. Sinda stated copies of the
completed evaluation forms would be copied so each councilmember
could review them.

Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmidt, to HOLD A WORKSHOP ON
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1986, AT 6:00 P.M.
