Park Boa rd Minutes <br />April 7, 19?1 <br /> <br />4 <br />Dahl reviewed the Citizen's Study Committee's joint meeting on Capital <br />Improvements. Everyone seemed generally impressed with the meeting <br />and the presentations of the advisory groups, The Park and Recreation <br />system was included as a high priority by all groups. The Planning <br />Commission's second recommendation was the acquisition of more park <br />?_and and in the same areas as the Park Board had suggested. The <br />FIuman Rights Commission recommended a Community Center and the employ- <br />ment of a Social Services Director. The League of [women Voters also <br />appeared and presented the results of its community survey.. <br />Gunderman expressed the Board's appreciation to Dahl for her work in <br />keeping tie Planning Commission appraised of Park Board activities. <br />The recommendations of the Planning Commission relating to parks were <br />a direct result of her efforts. <br />The Board briefly discussed the possibility of providing police protected <br />parking .areas. <br />The remaining agenda items were deferred until May. <br />Meeting adjourned 12x30 <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Robert M.
