• Fark Board `eting • °{ <br />November 24, 1970 <br />"_'he estimates are to be available at the January regular meeting. <br />Hagemeyer inquired as to the best time for bid letting. Dickey <br />replied that there probably was no best time but that this spring <br />looked good. <br />Discussion of Lonc7 Lake <br />Sherlock moved to defer the discussion of the Long Lake site until <br />the meeting of January 6, 1971 and to cancel all December meetings <br />except the regular one of December 2. <br />Second TnTeissman - motion carried. <br />Hansen Park Road <br />Hagemeyer moved that every effort be made to open the road through <br />Hansen Park <br />Second Weissman - motion carried <br />Speed limits signs were also requested. <br />Department Report <br />A copy of the letter encouraging residents to report incidents of <br />vandalism at the parks was given to Board members. <br />A report on the Rice Creek site was distributed to Board members. <br />The Department reported that the recreation programs are going well. <br />Christmas Party <br />Gunderman inquired as to member's feelings concerning the annual <br />Christmas gathering for the Park Board. Dahl suggested. it be postpone- <br />until January as there are so many social gatherings during the <br />Christmas season. The Board concurred. Dahl and Gunderman <br />volunteered to make the necessary arrangements. <br />School Facilities <br />Smith brought up the possibility of greater utilization by the <br />community of school-facilities. It was suggested that a committee ~e <br />set up to explore this possibility with school authorities_ This <br />will be discussed at a future meeting. <br />Fencinct at Hansen Park <br />A resident whose home adjoins Hansen Park asked that the Board consider <br />the fencing to be erected at Hansen Park as soon as possible. She <br />stated that the park was being used now to some extent and that the <br />fences should. be in place before traffic patterns were established. <br />The Board requested this item be placed on the agenda far the <br />December meeting. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11°10 <br />Robert M_ C~Ticklund <br />Director of Parks and Recreation <br />
